Call For Poster Presentations | 21st Annual International Symposium On CT


The ISCT invites you and your colleagues to submit a poster abstract for the 20th ISCT Symposium. Trainees are encouraged to submit. Accepted poster presenters must register for the symposium and be present. The ISCT will provide a $250 scholarship to accepted presenting authors.

Call for Radiology Oral | Scientific | Educational Poster Abstracts
DEADLINE: June 1st, 2018
The International Society for Computed Tomography (ISCT) invites abstracts for poster presentation
at the 2018 Annual Meeting.


All abstracts must be submitted electronically, using this online form. 
The objective of the poster session is to foster research and to promote and exchange new ideas in Radiology.

The program will include oral presentations of 15 abstracts and electronic scientific and educational posters.

Deadline for Submissions
The deadline for submissions is on June 1st, 2018, you will be notified of the
outcome by June 15th, via email, at the email address you provided during your submission.

Abstract Review & Judging All submissions will be peer-reviewed and scored by a panel of
expert judges prior to the conference, based on:
- Relevance to conference topics
- Demonstration of evidence-based, innovative and emerging approaches to care
- Clarity and completeness of submission.

Scientific abstracts will be scored on the basis of scientific merit. Educational
abstracts for Poster presentations will be scored on the basis of teaching value.

Oral presentations: A limited number of posters will be selected for oral
presentation. Please indicate that you would be interested in giving a brief
presentation if selected. Regardless of selection for oral presentation, all presenters
will be assigned a designated time for discussion of their posters with delegates.
Availability to present/discuss your work is an important part of the poster presentation experience at ISCT

Educational Exhibits (Posters) Posters may only be presented in backboard panel (hard-copy poster) format. The maximum individual poster size to display is 3.5ft x 3.5ft. Easels will be provided Posters cannot be secured by pins or Velcro. All items in a backboard panel exhibit, including text and captions, must be in opaque form. Hardcopy posters must be up by 8am Friday, September 20th. Presenting authors must be in front their poster to present to meeting attendees. Complete schedule will be provided. The first author listed for each abstract serves as the presenting author and as the primary contact for all correspondence regarding the abstract.

The presenting author is responsible for the following:
• Ensuring that all co-authors have read the abstract and agreed to participate. Failure to acquire approval from all co-authors will result in rejection of the abstract.
• Obtaining conflict of interest (COI) disclosure information from all coauthors.

An individual may be listed as “presenting author” on no more than 3 abstracts. “Presenting authors” in-training (fellows, residents, and medical students) must include an attending radiologist on the abstract. Although you may submit an abstract that has been previously presented, preference will be given to original work that has not been presented elsewhere. Accepted abstracts will be published in ISCT Education On-Demand if they have not already been published in another journal and if permission to publish is granted by the abstract author.

Accepted Applications For all accepted abstract applications, the presenting author must register for the symposium and be present at the meeting. The ISCT will provide a $250 scholarship to accepted presenting authors. All presenting authors are expected to be prepared to facilitate discussion with delegates. Presenters will be asked to have any handout materials sent to the organizers approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the conference. Details will be shared in your notice of acceptance. Additional Details Presentation days/times will be determined by the Planning Committee; if you have any limitations, please indicate this immediately upon the receipt of your acceptance notice. Submission of an abstract indicates a commitment to present it at the 2019 ISCT Annual Meeting. If an accepted abstract is not presented, it may affect the privileges of the author/co-authors to present abstracts or give invited talks at ISCT meetings in the future.
