Looking Back: Our 6 Favorite Things From ISCT16

our 6 favorite things from ISCT16: our ct symposium

It’s been two weeks since we wrapped up ISCT16, and we’ve finally had some time to sit back and reflect about what made this year’s conference stand out so much more than the rest. We always walk away from these conferences feeling amazed and excited about what’s happening in our industry, and this year was no exception, but if you asked us to name our number one favorite part about ISCT16 we wouldn’t be able to give you an answer.

There was so much we loved about this year’s conference. We don’t have time to list it all, but we can share six of our favorite things from ISCT16 with you! Chances are some of them are the things that you enjoyed most as well.

1. Getting a much-needed opportunity to spend time with colleagues and friends.

We all work in an incredibly busy industry, and many of us don’t have a ton of spare time on our hands. One of our favorite things about conferences like this one is that they not only give us a chance to reconnect with our colleagues and peers, they’re also a place where some of our deepest friendships are formed. We can’t tell you how many close friends we’ve made over the years thanks to ISCT, and we hope the same can be said for each of you!

2. Sunday’s pre-conference scavenger hunt.

Another thing we love each year is getting a chance to share our city with attendees! We love San Francisco, and we love being able to set aside some time at each conference to get everyone out and exploring the surrounding areas. This year’s scavenger hunt was no exception, and attendees got to check out some of San Fran’s coolest locations!

3. The debates, the debates, the debates.

Hands-down one of the things we were the most pleasantly surprised by this year was the quality of the debates. We can’t tell you how exciting it was to look out into the audience and see how engaged everyone was, how passionate and informed the debaters were, and how high quality the content of the discussions was. This is one area we’re really looking forward to trying to top next year!

4. Getting blown away and being star-struck each and every session by this year’s faculty line-up.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, we could not be more impressed by the men and women who make up our faculty team. This year’s speakers was an incredibly diverse group of some of the industry’s best and brightest minds, doctors who are leading the conversations about changes in radiology, and we were absolutely blown away by their poise, professionalism, and session topics. There were 100 new things for everyone who attended to learn, and that’s truly something special.

5. Experiencing innovation in our industry firsthand.

If there’s one thing we can say for certain, it’s that ISCT16 gave us a front row seat for witnessing our industry’s innovation firsthand. The content this year included discussion of the most cutting edge ideas, technologies, and advancements in the computed tomography industry, innovative ideas and information that has since been picked up by Aunt Minnie, Radiology ACR, and several other top industry publications. Changes are happening in CT, and we were able to hear about them first at ISCT16.

6. Waking up each morning to those gorgeous San Francisco views.

We couldn’t have picked a better location for ISCT16. It was a beautiful view for a beautiful conference, and we can’t wait to be back!

There are so many more amazing memories we wish we could share, but for now this will have to do. Doing some reminiscing of your own and want to share what you loved most about this year's conference? Tweet to us @ISCT16!
