Judy Yee, MD
Judy Yee, MD, FACR is Professor and Vice-Chair of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. She is also Chief of Radiology at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. Dr. Yee is an accomplished abdominal and gastrointestinal radiologist with a focus on CT Colonography, as well as liver and pancreatic imaging using CT and MR. She has published multiplelandmark studies in the field of CT Colonography and continues to carry out research in the area. She is the author of the well-received textbook on Virtual Colonoscopy.
Dr. Yee holds numerous leadership positions in major radiology organizations and currently serves on the Editorial Boards of RadioGraphics, Abdominal Imaging and JCAT. She has served on the Editorial Boards of both Radiology and AJR. She is Chair of the American College of Radiology Colon Cancer Committee and Chair of the RSNA Public Information Committee and the Public Information Advisory Network. Dr. Yee is also the newly appointed President of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR). The mission of the SAR is to provide leadership and to foster advances in the diagnosis and intervention within the areas of gastrointestinal and genitourinary radiology. SAR is the premier organization for abdominal radiologists in the U.S.
Dr. Yee provides many invited lectures nationally and internationally. She is a well-respected educator, having instructed and mentored multiple trainees in abdominal imaging. She is the recipient of mulitple awards including the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Academy of Medical Educators, the Best Speaker Award from the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Visiting Professorship Award from the Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists.
