Founded in 1999 at Stanford University, the ISCT began as an annual international symposium for scientific collaboration and dissemination of the newly introduced technology of multi-detector row computed tomography. Independent since 2010, today the ISCT is a non-profit organization overseen by a diverse representation of top experts in CT whose passion is to ensure that CT is used to its greatest effect in safely diagnosing and characterizing disease for the betterment of human health worldwide. Joining radiologists, medical physicists, cardiologists, radiology technologists, healthcare administrators, the Society's mission is to serve the health care needs of the general public through the support of science, teaching and research and the quality of service in the field of computed tomography.

The ISCT continues to present the Annual International Symposium for CT in San Francisco, California every June. These symposia have a long tradition of success through the participation of world experts experienced with all aspects of medical CT participating in innovative programmatic elements that have included the long running Workstation Face-off, hot topic debates, workstation-based case sessions.

In addition to the annual symposium, the ISCT offers a rich library of online learning materials available year-round. Please check out our growing body of content intended to help you advance your practice and provide the highest quality service to your patients.

With the rapid pace of technological change in CT, the need for education is critical. The ISCT is committed to providing programs that highlight evolving CT technology to provide most up-to-date information across a variety of platforms, while also serving as a forum for physicians and investigators to collaborate and compare imaging approaches and results.
