What Is The TrifeCTa Symposium? FAQ's Answered About Our 2017 CT Symposium
For almost 20 years, the ISCT’s Annual International Symposium for CT has presented education on cutting edge CT techniques and practice. As some technologies mature and new ones emerge, we have come to understand that our diverse audience has different education priorities. Whether you are an academic radiologist, private practice radiologist, employed community radiologist, technologist, medical physicist or CT administrator, we have redesigned our program for YOU and have named it the “TrifeCTa Symposium”. We’ve had some questions about what the “TrifeCTa Symposium” is, and how it’s different from our past symposia. We’re putting that confusion to rest with some FAQ’s about our upcoming CT symposium, the reason behind the name, and what attendees can expect to see in June.
Read Out With The Professor: Track 3 Of ISCT's TrifeCTa Symposium
We’ve highlighted our Cutting Edge Mini Symposia track and our CT Academy track already, and today we’re taking a closer look at our final track: Read Out With The Professor.
Our Read Out With The Professor track is one we’re pretty excited about. It’s comprised of thirty-minute case-based sessions organized around specific organ systems and diseases. Interesting and relevant clinical cases will be discussed as the basis for conveying concepts in interpretation using fundamental and newer imaging approaches with CT. All sessions are presented by expert clinicians who seek to enhance your CT interpretation skills with topics that are clinically essential.
CT Academy: Track 2 Of ISCT's TrifeCTa Symposium
Our CT Academy Track consists of recording sessions for a Live CT Manual, and sessions will cover the fundamental topics of CT technologies, techniques, and protocols. These are the "nuts and bolts" topics and practical expert tips necessary to help you maximize quality, save dose, and get the images that you need. Sessions extend to image processing techniques and service management. These sessions are meant to be interactive, with time blocked out every hour for audience Q&A opportunities. If you’re looking to hone your technical CT skills or improve your protocol knowledge, our CT Academy track is the perfect fit.
The CT Academy track features sessions on topics like the following:
Cutting Edge Mini Symposia: Track 1 Of ISCT’s TrifeCTa Symposium
We’ll be highlighting each track individually over time, but today we’re taking a closer look at our Cutting Edge Mini Symposia track.
Our Cutting Edge Mini-Symposia track will highlight advanced and cutting edge topics pertaining to CT technology and practice. It’s where you’ll find sessions on all the hot-button issues in the industry. These controversies will be debated, and the audience regularly engaged through online polling questions. Expert panel and audience-involved discussions provide context for the topics and voicing of diverging options.
Dr. Elliot Fishman Receives Radiology Lifetime Achievement Award From Diagnostic Imaging
It’s been a big year for ISCT faculty. From the Minnies to department recognitions, we’ve been lucky enough to see several of our faculty members recognized for their incredible career contributions to the radiology world in 2016. Although the year is almost over, the awards just keep on coming!
This week we were thrilled to see that Dr. Elliot Fishman was selected as the recipient of Diagnostic Imaging’s Radiology Lifetime Achievement Award. Although it’s not uncommon to see peers recognized by various awards throughout the year, this one is special because it’s indicative of the enthusiasm, innovation, and excellence that Dr. Fishman has contributed to his work in radiology not just in one particular area or at one particular moment in time, but over the span of his extensive career.
ISCT 2017 Registration Announcement (And A Look At What's New This Year)
It’s that time of the year again, the one we’ve spent months anticipating, and we’re excited to announce that registration for our 2017 CT symposium is officially open! Traditionally our symposium has been designed with the following goals in mind:
ISCT's 2017 Symposium: Designed To Benefit Your Whole Radiology Team
For a radiology department to be successful and provide positive patient experiences, the entire team has to come together as one. The same can be said about advancing your computed tomography team’s knowledge-base. Staying up to date with cutting-edge CT technology and techniques is a challenge, but if your whole team works together, each member can improve and the team as a whole will evolve into a stronger, more robust organization.
Celebrating The 5th Annual International Day Of Radiology
Medical imaging is one of the most exciting and progressive disciplines in healthcare, and it’s one that affects each and every one of us. Every year hundreds of millions of imaging procedures are performed in the US alone. From CT’s to MRI’s to x-rays and ultrasounds, there probably isn’t one of us who hasn’t yet or won’t at some point in their future come into contact with medical imaging technology. While most people are familiar with the various medical imaging technologies available, though, the exact purpose and value of these services isn’t widely understood. That’s where the International Day Of Radiology comes in.
